Free Original Bagels

July 7, 2019

Somewhere between the 16th and 17th centuries in Poland, the “bajgiel” became a regular part of the cuisine in the Jewish communities.  Bagels made their way across Europe and eventually to New York City.  By 1900, the “bagel brunch” was a regular occurrence with bagels served with lox, cream cheese, capers, tomato, and onion.  Today, bagels are a popular favorite in almost every country and throughout virtually every culture.  The Original Bagel from The Patient Bakers is one of our favorite brands here at Fresh Madison Market.  What began as a fresh bagel supplier to local stores in 1995 has grown to produce nearly 2-million bagels every week!  What we find so impressive is that they have been able to maintain their commitment to starting from scratch, and keeping their bagels fresh throughout the whole process.  They even custom-made their own equipment to make sure the standards are maintained.  It’s a pretty impressive operation that was once a modest shop, and that’s why we’re proud to offer you a free 5-6 count of The Original Bagel (assorted varieties) with your $15 purchase this week only!
