Free Ball Park Franks Hot Dogs
It’s hard to imagine something more suited for the 4th of July than all-American Ball Park Franks. But, was there ever an actual “ball park” where Ball Park Franks originated? Absolutely. In 1957 at Tiger Stadium in Detroit a food company got the contract to be the sole vendor for hot dogs. They were an immediate hit with the fans, and just 2 short baseball seasons later the rather unappealing name “Hygrade Food Products” would become, quite simply, “Ball Park Franks.” Before the 60s were over, Ball Park Franks, the ones that “plump when you cook ‘em,” were in stores nationwide. So, take in a ball game, enjoy the celebrations of our nation’s independence, and grill up some Ball Park Franks hot dogs, on us. With your $20 purchase of groceries (and maybe some extra items for your cook-out), you’ll get a pack of Ball Park Franks free.
