Kraft Macaroni & Cheese was founded in 1937, but there is evidence in a Smithsonian Magazine that the first-known recipe for mac & cheese was written in 1769! In The Experienced English Housekeeper by Elizabeth Raffald, her recipe for Béchamel sauce (a sauce made with white roux and milk) but swapped the white roux for cheddar cheese. The sauce was mixed with macaroni pasta and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. However in the 14th century, a Parmesan and pasta casserole was noted in the Liber de Coquina Italian cookbook.

Who is Angie and why did she create BOOMCHICKAPOP? In 2002 in a small, Minnesotan town, Angie Bastian and husband Dan started selling their popcorn outside of Minnesota Vikings' home games. The company started as Angie’s Kettle Corn, but later renamed to differentiate themselves from the other popcorn brands. The company gained so much popularity, Congra Brands–Orville Redenbacher’s parent company–acquired the company in 2017.
