Avocado Bacon Burger
Let’s throw all caution to the wind and make a burger with everything. And we really mean EVERYTHING.
This week we’re taking the great American hamburger and turning up the volume with this Avocado Bacon Burger Recipe right from CertifiedAngusBeef.com, but we’re going to substitute our lean ground beef patties that are on sale for $3.99/lb plus some other money saving ingredients.
Here’s your shopping list for this glorious creation:
4 lean ground beef patties (just $3.99/lb this week)
1 Organic Haas avocado (2 for $4 this week)
4 burger buns
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
4 leaves green leaf lettuce
Roma tomatoes ($.99/lb this week)
8 slices cooked Smithfield bacon (2 packages, just $10)
And had some coarse Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper to suit your taste.
The next part is super easy:
- Season burgers with salt and pepper, grill to desired doneness (160°F for best results).
- Peel and slice avocado. Layer bottom of bun with mayo, lettuce, tomato, burger, avocado and bacon.
- Top with bun and serve.
