Are You a Stand and Eat Person?

standing_eating Did you know that sitting down while you eat can help you eat less food and consume fewer calories? When you sit, you eat slower and pay more attention to what you're eating. Eating while you're standing up also encourages a lot of snacking, grazing and impulse consuming. When you're eating in the seated position, you tend to eat slower and chew your food more deliberately. This is good because it takes your brain about 20 minutes to feel the sensation of being full. If you eat in a standing position, you might consume more calories because you eat quicker, long before your brain understands that you are, in fact, full.
