5 Ways to Eat Fresh Vegetables in Winter

January 16, 2017

At Fresh Madison Market we make it easy for you to eat your fresh vegetables, even during the winter months when the ground is frozen in the Midwest.  No time for chopping, roasting, sautéing or steaming your own vegetables?  No worries, we have you covered with a variety of pre-packaged and prepared vegetables.

1) Eat at Our Salad Bar
Every day we prepare one of the best salad bars in town.  Assorted greens, a variety of vegetables, meats and all the condiments.  Our salad bar is available from 9am - 8pm seven days a week.

2) Buy Packaged Salads
Packaged salads are a convenient and fast way to make your own salad.  We have spring mix, baby spinach, baby kale, baby romaine and other leafy green options.  Toss in a few carrots, some celery, an avocado, and you have a nutritious salad.

3) Pick Up Some Pre-Cut Veggies
In our deli department, we have pre-cut veggies with hummus and olives, and other veggies that have been pre-cut.  Pick up a package of sweet potato cubes or fries from our produce department to pop in the oven.  Baby carrots and pre-cut celery always make a great snack.

4) Try Our Famous Citrus Kale Salad
Have you tried this salad yet?  Our top selling salad features the "queen of nutritional greens", kale.  We add dried cranberries, golden raisins, feta, quinoa, onions with a lite lemon, orange, honey dressing.

5) Shop Our Produce Department
