Keeping Strawberries Fresh and Delicious
One challenge with strawberries is their short shelf life. But the folks at Driscoll’s offer some easy tips to make them stay fresh and juicy for 3 to 5 days.
Step 1: Try to keep your fresh strawberries as dry as possible
Step 2: Refrigerate strawberries in their original package in the coolest part of your refrigerator. The ideal temperature is between 32 and 34 degrees.
Step 3: Strawberries bruise easily, so rinse them with cool water just before you are ready to eat them. Remember: Be gentle!
Step 4: Once they are out of the refrigerator and washed, let them get to room temperature. This will enhance the natural flavors.
